- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 lb. lean, ground steak
- 2 c. canned tomatoes (juice and all)
- 1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Cook onions and peppers slowly in Crisco until onions turn yellow.

2Add meat; saute until meat falls apart.

3Add tomatoes, rice and seasonings.

4Put in casserole.

5Cover and cook slowly for 45 minutes at 375°.
