  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. sour milk (add 1 tsp. vinegar to make milk sour)
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Combine butter, water and cocoa in saucepan.

    Heat to boiling. Stir occasionally.

    Add flour and sugar.

    Mix well.

    Spread on greased and floured cookie sheet.

    Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. While cake is baking, make frosting.

    Frost while hot.
