  • 1/2 c. butter or shortening
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sour milk (1/2 c. milk + 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. 1
    Boil and cool the first 4 ingredients. Mix the next 2 separately. Mix the last 4; adding the first 4 ingredients, then add the flour & sugar mixture. Pour into greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Cool 1/2 way & frost.
