  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/3 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Mix the flour and sugar and set aside.

    In a saucepan, put margarine, cocoa and water; bring to a boil.

    Take off heat and mix in flour and sugar mixture.

    Add buttermilk, eggs, salt, vanilla and soda.

    Pour in greased sheet pan.

    Bake at 375° for 20 minutes or longer, until done.

    Ice as soon as it is removed from the oven.
