  • 2 c. basmati rice (white)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 c. water
  • 12 oz. coconut milk
  • 2 curry leaves, lime leaves or bay leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger powder
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cook rice for 30 minutes in water with salt.

    Combine and bring to a boil next 5 ingredients and add to rice pot.

    Bring back to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes uncovered.
