Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 6 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve salt, yeast, water and 2 tablespoons sugar.

    Melt butter and add to yeast mixture. Beat eggs and add to mixture. Add 3/4 cup sugar and flour; mix well.

    Let rise to double. Roll 1/4-inch and cut out. Put in pan and brush with melted butter. Let rise to double again. Bake at 400° until brown.
