  • 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 Land O Lakes Eggs (yolks only)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
  • Decorator sugars

Directions

    Combine butter and sugar in bowl.

    Beat at medium speed until creamy.

    Add all remaining ingredients except decorator sugars; beat at low speed until well mixed.

    Divide dough in half; flatten each half slightly.

    Wrap each in plastic food wrap; refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

    Heat oven to 350F.

    Roll out dough, one-half at a time (keeping remaining dough refrigerated), on lightly floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.

    Cut with thimble or 1-inch round cookie cutter.

    Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

    Sprinkle with decorator sugars as desired.
