- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. flour (approximately)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 egg white
- finely chopped nutmeats
Directions

1Mix first 4 ingredients and blend well.

2Roll into balls the size of a small walnut.

3Roll each ball in unbeaten egg white and then in finely chopped nutmeats.

4Bake at 350° for 5 minutes. Remove cookie sheet from oven and make small depression in center of each cookie (use thimble).

5Fill hole with jelly.

6Return to oven and bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
