- 12 cup margarine, soft
- 14 cup sugar
- 14 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 large egg, separated
- 1 14 cups unsifted flour
- 12 cup pecans, finely chopped
- jam or jelly or preserves
Directions

1Mix margarine and sugar to creamy.

2Add syrup and egg yolk.

3Stir in flour, mix well.

4Chill dough.

5Roll into 1-inch balls.

6Dip in slightly beaten egg white.

7Roll into nuts.

8Place on greased cookie sheet.

9Press thumb into center of each cookie.

10Bake at 325 for 20 minutes.

11While warm fill center or each cookie with your favorite jam, jelly, or preserves.

12(I use strawberry preserves).
