  • 4 qts. popcorn
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • nuts

Directions

    Spread popcorn and nuts in a large pan.

    In a large saucepan stir sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt.

    Cook over medium heat until it boils, stirring constantly.

    Continue cooking without stirring for 5 more minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in vanilla and baking soda.

    Pour over popcorn and nuts to coat well.

    Bake at 250° uncovered for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
