- 1 c. margarine or butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Bring ingredients to room temperature.

2Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla and eggs, one at a time.

3Keep batter well creamed.

4Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.

5Do not over or underbeat.

6Put in lightly floured and greased tube or Bundt pan.

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
