- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar or 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Mix all ingredients thoroughly and drop from teaspoon into very hot deep fat (370°).

2Molasses gives a richer, more robust flavor than sugar.

3A little cinnamon and nutmeg may be added if desired.

4These are delicate and tender when first cooked.

5A brief heating in the oven helps them the second day.
