Toasted Tuna Sandwiches

  • 2 (7 oz.) cans tuna, drained
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/3 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 12 slices bread
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions

    Combine tuna, celery, green pepper, relish, lemon juice, mayo and cheese.

    Spread evenly on 6 slices bread and cover with remaining slices.

    Combine eggs and milk.

    Melt butter in skillet. Dip sandwiches in egg mixture.

    Turn so both sides are coated. Cook sandwiches until golden brown on both sides.
