- 2 sticks real butter (margarine will not work)
- 1 c. sugar
- saltine crackers (approximately 12 to 16)
- 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
Directions

1Line 9 x 13 pan with foil.

2Lay saltine crackers in bottom of pan, salt side up.

3(Do not overlap crackers.)

4In a saucepan, melt butter.

5Stir in sugar.

6Continue stirring and bring mixture to boil.

7Boil for 3 minutes.

8Continue stirring.

9After 3 minutes, pour sugar mix over crackers.

10Bake in 350° oven for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.

11Remove from oven.

12Dump chocolate chips over pan.

13Wait about 5 minutes, then spread chips.

14Allow to totally cool, then break apart.
