- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg, separated
- 1/2 c. walnuts, finely chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 275°.

2Grease 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 jellyroll pan. Mix all ingredients except egg whites and walnuts.

3Pat evenly in a jellyroll pan.

4Beat egg white and brush on dough.

5Sprinkle with nuts.

6Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden brown.

7Cut 4 strips lengthwise and 12 strips across to make 48.

8Remove from pan.

9Store in covered container.
