- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, divided
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 c. shredded coconut
- 1 c. nuts, coarsely chopped
Directions

1Combine shortening and salt. Add 1/2 cup brown sugar and cream thoroughly. Add 1 cup of flour and blend. Spread mixture in greased and floured 8 x 12-inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 325° or until delicately browned.
