- 3 large tomatoes, diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 12 ounces linguine
- 4 quarts water
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Mix first three ingredients in a bowl.

2Add a little salt and pepper to taste.

3Let stand at room temperature for about 1 hour.

4The tomatoes will release their juice and the flavors will blend, creating a sauce.

5About 15 minutes before you are ready to serve bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot.

6Add linguine to the boiling water.

7Return to a boil; cook uncovered for 10-12 minutes.

8When pasta has finished cooking drain thoroughly and add tomato mixture.

9Serve immediately.
