Tomato basil pie

  • 1 frozen pie crust
  • 3 large tomatoes sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or miracle whip
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped basil
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozarella
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Melt butter.

    Add a dash of the garlic powder and basil to the melted butter.

    Brush on frozen pie crust.

    Bake pie crust according to package or until slightly browned.

    Once pie crust is done, fill with tomato slices.

    Layer until pie crust is full.

    You may season each layer with salt and pepper to taste.

    In a bowl combine mayo, cheese, garlic powder, chives and basil.

    Once thouroughly mixed, spread mixture over the top of the tomatoes covering completely.

    Sprinkle the bread crumbs on top.

    Bake at 400 for 35-40 minutes.

    Let cool and set 10 mins.
