Ingredients
- 2 c. tomato juice
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. tomato ketchup
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 7 c. sifted all-purpose flour (approximately)
Directions

1Heat tomato juice and butter together until butter is melted; add sugar, salt and ketchup.

2Let cool to lukewarm.

3Sprinkle yeast on warm water, stir to dissolve.

4Add tomato mixture and 3 cups flour to yeast.

5Beat by hand until smooth. Mix in remaining flour to make soft dough.

6Turn onto floured board and knead until smooth.

7Place in lightly greased bowl.

8Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled.

9Push down and divide in half.

10Shape into loaves and place in greased pans.

11Bake at 425° for about 25 minutes.
