- 1 1/2 c. onion and garlic croutons
- 3 medium size ripe tomatoes (1 lb.), sliced in 1/4-inch thick rounds
- 6 oz. Mozzarella cheese, cut in thin slices
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
- 1 Tbsp. snipped chives (optional)
- pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar and oil dressing
Directions

1Scatter croutons over bottom of a 9-inch glass pie plate. Overlap alternate slices of tomatoes

2and Mozzarella cheese on top in a circular pattern to cover.

3Sprinkle with basil, chives and pepper.

4Microwave, uncovered, on High for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

5Remove from oven; spoon dressing on top.

6Let stand 5 minutes for flavors to develop.
