- 1 (2 1/2 lb.) can whole tomatoes
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 1/4 c. dried bread cubes
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Brown onion in butter in an iron skillet.

2Add bread crumbs and sugar; cook slowly.

3Stir in tomatoes and seasonings.

4Place in buttered pan.
