- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 4 medium ripe sliced tomatoes
- 4 oz. sharp Cheddar, shredded
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 c. dairy sour cream
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Saute onion in butter until soft.

2Place 1/2 tomatoes in a 10 x 6 x 1 1/2-inch dish.

3Top with 1/2 of each of the onion, cheese and bread crumbs.

4Repeat layers.

5Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over the top of the tomato mixture.

6Bake, covered, in a 350° oven for 30 minutes.

7Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
