- saltine crackers
- 2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 stick margarine
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Butter a 10 x 10 x 2-inch casserole dish.

2Place layer of saltine crackers in bottom of dish.

3Pour one can of tomatoes over crackers (chop tomatoes into pieces).

4Sprinkle 1/2 cup onions over tomatoes.

5Sprinkle 1/2 cheese over onions.

6Repeat layers, ending with crumbled crackers on top.

7Dot with margarine.

8Bake in a 350° oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly in center.

9Serve with meat.
