  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. (1 lb. 14 oz.) can pumpkin pie mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1 c. reserved cake mix
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine

    Grease bottom only of a 13 x 9-inch pan. Reserve 1 cup cake mix for topping. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Pour into pan.

    Combine pie mix, 2 eggs and milk.

    When using 1 pound can solid packed pumpkin, add 2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice and 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar.)

    Place filling over base.

    Combine reserved cake mix and 1/4 cup sugar. Sprinkle topping over filling.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool and cut into squares.
