Tomato Garlic Bread

- 3 c. tomato juice
- 1/3 c. pitted dates
- 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
- 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 3 c. whole wheat flour
- plain unbleached flour
- 2 pkg. or 2 Tbsp. yeast
Directions

1In blender, whiz 1 cup of the tomato juice and the dates until smooth.

2Put into large mixing bowl and add remaining juice. Sprinkle the yeast into bowl and stir until yeast dissolves.

3Stir in garlic salt and Italian seasoning.

4Add the whole heat flour and enough plain unbleached flour to make a fairly stiff dough. Knead well.

5Put in Pam sprayed bowl.

6Cover with a damp cloth and let rise until double.

7Punch down; shape into loaves.

8Put into 2 large loaf pans (that have been lightly sprayed with Pam) and let rise until double.

9Bake at 375° about 1 hour.
