Tomato Macaroni Bake

  • 1/4 c. chopped onions
  • 2 Tbsp. buttered bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. grated sharp cheese
  • 2 c. cooked macaroni (1 c. uncooked)

Directions

    In saucepan lightly brown onion in butter.

    Stir in soup, water and 1/4 cup cheese.

    Heat until cheese melts.

    Blend sauce with macaroni.

    Pour into a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle remaining cheese and crumbs on top.

    Bake in a 350° oven about 20 minutes or until nicely browned and bubbling.
