Ingredients
- 2 qt. yellow tomatoes
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
Directions

1Wash and dry tomatoes; slice or chunk and remove seeds (if desired).

2Put tomatoes and sugar in layers in kettle; let stand until sugar is dissolved.

3Cook a few minutes.

4Add thinly sliced lemon (remove seeds) and salt; cook until thick.

5Cook slow and stir often.
-
6Cinnamon may be added.

7Put in clear, hot cans and seal.

8If desired, can use red or yellow tomatoes or mix for a pretty color.
