- 2 (10 oz.) tomato puree
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. fresh bread, cut in 2-inch squares
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
Directions

1Mix tomato puree, 1/2 cup boiling water, brown sugar and salt and boil 10 minutes.

2Put bread in buttered casserole.

3Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over bread.

4Add tomato mix.

5Bake 30 to 40 minutes, covered, in 300° oven.

6Only tomato puree works.
