- 2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 lb. (1 stick) margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 slices bread, finely torn
- pepper (optional)
Directions

1Cook tomatoes and bread until quite thick.

2Add sugar, margarine, salt and pepper. Turn into a buttered 8-cup casserole. Bake in 350° oven, uncovered, one hour or more.

3Pudding should be glazed and brown on top.
