  • 16 cups tomatoes, slightly mashed
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 2 cups green peppers, chopped
  • 1 jar jalapeno peppers or 6 -8 jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 34 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons canning salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 dash cumin
  • 1 dash marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon alum

Directions

    take skins off tomatoes (put them in boiling water and then in cold water, skins will come off very easily) Pour everything in a big cooking pot.

    mix well.

    simmer for 5 minutes.

    pour in pint jars.

    put on two piece canning lids.

    Process in hot water bath for 30 minutes.
