Tomato Soup

- 6 ripe tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 c. chicken stock
- 1 c. half and half
Directions

1Peel and chop the tomatoes.

2Saute in butter until tender. Mix tomatoes with chicken stock and simmer 20 minutes.

3Run the mixture through a food blender and strain to remove seeds.

4Add the half and half and a pat of butter.

5Mix together and heat for about 5 minutes.

6Soup may be sweetened with a bit of sugar to remove the tartness of the tomatoes.

7Serves 4 to 6.
