Tortilla Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can enchilada sauce
  • 1 can green chiles
  • 12 large flour tortillas
  • 1 c. shredded cheese

Directions

    Brown meat and onions.

    Drain well.

    Combine all remaining ingredients, except cheese.

    Simmer on stove until well mixed (20 minutes).

    Layer tortillas and meat in a 13 x 9-inch pan with tortillas on the bottom, ending with meat sauce on top (like lasagna).

    Bake about 30 minutes at 350° (will bubble slightly). Turn oven off and cover with cheese.

    Leave in oven until cheese is melted.

    Cut into 2 to 3-inch squares and serve.

    Best when assembled the day before and refrigerated overnight.
