- 10 flour tortillas (8-inch)
- 3/4 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 1/4 c. finely sliced onions
- 1 c. chopped green chilies
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- salsa and sour cream
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Lightly butter two 8-inch cake or pie pans.

3Place 1 tortilla in each pan.

4Combine cheeses in bowl. Sprinkle 1/4 of cheese mixture on each tortilla.

5Sprinkle 1/4 of onions and chiles on each cheese layer.

6Repeat cheese and onion-chili layers until there are 4 layers in each pan.

7Top with fifth tortilla.

8Brush tops with melted butter.

9Bake stacks, uncovered, in oven for 20 minutes.

10Let cool 5 minutes.

11Slice into wedges.

12Serve with salsa and sour cream.
