- 8 c. flour
- 4 level tsp. baking powder
- 3 1/2 level tsp. salt
- 12 level tsp. shortening
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. warm water
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients, add shortening and blend well.

2Add from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups warm water, a portion at a time.

3Knead well, shape into small balls, flatten and roll out with a rolling pin.

4Place in a skillet that has been preheated to medium hot. Keep covered.

5Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
