- 1 small onion, grated
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 4 oz. can diced green chilies
- 1/4 lb. Monterey Jack cheese or Muenster cheese
- 4 oz. pkg. taco shells
Directions

1Coarsely break taco shells.

2In a 2-quart bowl, mix beef and onion.

3Cover bowl with waxed paper.

4Cook at High for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring and breaking up meat into small pieces every 2 minutes.

5Tilt bowl, skim and discard excess fat.

6Stir in tomato sauce, water and chili powder.

7Cover.

8Cook at High for 4 minutes or until meat mixture thickens, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir in undrained green chilies and shredded cheese.
