- 2 c. raisins
- 1 (14 oz.) can condensed sweet milk
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

3Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan.

4Heat to bubbly stage, stirring. Remove from heat and set aside.

5Beat margarine, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.

6Reserve 2 cups.

7Press rest into baking pan.

8Spread raisins and sauce over the top.

9Then sprinkle reserved crumbs over top.

10Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.

11Cool.

12Cut into bars.
