Ingredients

  • 16 oz. can sour pitted cherries, drained, reserving juice
  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained, reserving juice
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 3 bananas
  • 2 (9 inch) baked pie shells, cooled
  • whipped cream for topping
  • 3 oz. pkg. orange gelatin
  • 3 oz. pkg. lemon gelatin
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped

Directions

    Combine cherry and pineapple juices to make 1/2 cup juice. Combine 2/3 cup sugar with flour; add the juice and cook until thick.

    Stir in gelatins and continue stirring (while liquid is hot) until gelatin is thoroughly dissolved.

    Add the fruits and pecans.

    Pour into baked pie shells and place in the refrigerator until congealed thoroughly.

    Serve with whipped cream on top.
