  • flour
  • corn meal
  • 2 dashes salt
  • pepper to taste
  • butter

    Fill a 9-inch bowl 1/4 way full with 1/2 mixture of flour and corn meal.

    Roll trout in flour mixture and fry in a thin layer of butter.
