Tuna-Cabbage Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. water
  • 4 c. chopped cabbage
  • 1 can (6 1/2 or 7 oz.) tuna in oil
  • 1 can (11 oz.) Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs

Directions

    Bring water to boil in medium saucepan.

    Add chopped cabbage; cover and cook 1 or 2 minutes or until wilted; drain.

    Arrange half of cabbage in bottom of 1 1/2-quart casserole; top with tuna; cover with remaining cabbage.

    Blend soup, milk, salt and caraway seed (optional).

    Pour over ingredients in casserole.

    Combine butter with bread crumbs and sprinkle over casserole.

    Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes or until casserole is bubbly.
