Ingredients

  • 1 (6-ounce) can tuna
  • 1/2 stalk celery
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 slices Cheddar
  • 1 slice rye bread

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat the broiler.
  2. 2
Drain the tuna and place it in a small bowl.
  3. 3
Chop the celery into 1/4-inch pieces and add them to the bowl.
  4. 4
Add the mayonnaise and stir until completely combined.
  5. 5
Toast the bread in a toaster or under the broiler until golden brown.
  6. 6
Place the tuna mixture on the toasted bread and spread it to cover most of the bread.
  7. 7
Place the cheese slices over the tuna and place under the broiler for 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  8. 8
    Stir-frying is similar to sauteing.
  9. 9
Both methods cook in oil, but in stir-frying the food is generally cut smaller, cooked over high heat, and kept in constant motion.
  10. 10
Foods that take longer to cook are added first, with quicker-cooking items added later.
