Turkey Basting Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp celery salt
  • 1/4 tsp granulated garlic powder
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (regular or low sodium)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon juice, to taste

Directions

    Melt the butter in a medium pot.

    Add the remaining ingredients and heat until simmering.

    Leave on very low heat while basting every 15 minutes or so.

    Use to baste turkey, chicken, cornish hens, or pork roast.
