Turkey Stuffing Strata

Ingredients

  • 2 cups left over stuffing*
  • 1/2-3/4pound cooked sausage of your choice, drained well.
  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese.
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups milk (I used 2%)
  • 1 teaspoon each sea salt and ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons bottled worcestershire sauce.
  • 1 cup diced sauteed vegtables such as red or green bell peppers(optional)

    1. Mix the bread and cheeses in a bowl.

    2. Add the cooked sausage and vegtables (if you are using them).

    Spread this mixture in a lightly greased shallow glass 2-3 qt. baking dish.

    3. Beat the eggs, add milk and the seasonings then pour over the bread mixture.

    4. Refrigerate 1/2-24 hours.

    5. Bake 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

    6. Serve with sides of salsa, sour cream, yogurt, fresh fruit or a green salad.
