Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 hipping tsp sugar ( or more, optional )
  • 5 hipping tsp of Turkish coffee (extra fine ground coffee powder consistency)

Directions

    Bring water and sugar to a boil in an ibrik, dzezva or a small saucepan.

    Remove from heat and add coffee.

    Return saucepan to heat and allow to come to a boil, gently stir ones or twice and let foam, don't stir anymore, remove from heat.

    Put some foam into each cups, pour coffee over and let sit for a couple minutes.

    You don't drink the grounds settled on the bottom of the cup.

    What you can do, cover the cup with the saucer, swirl, make a wish and turn upside-down, maybe somebody will read your fortune.
