- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 14 oz. Kraft caramels
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. broken pecans
Directions

1Melt caramels in saucepan over low heat with 1 1/2 sticks of butter and evaporated milk.

2Make cake according to box directions. Pour 1/2 of cake batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.

3Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.

4Pour caramel sauce over partially baked cake and add chocolate chips and pecan pieces. Pour remaining cake batter over top.

5Bake for 20 more minutes at 350°.

6Cool.

7Don't cut while hot.
