  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 pkg. caramels
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix cake according to box directions. Spread half of the batter into a 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 375°.

    Melt caramels with butter and milk.

    Spread on cake and sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Spread remaining batter on top. Bake 20 minutes more at 375°.
