  • 1 (14 oz.) pkg. vanilla caramels
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 box German cake mix
  • 3/4 c. oleo, melted
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 c. chocolate chips (1/2 light and 1/2 dark)
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk

Directions

    Melt caramels in 1/3 cup of milk on low temperature and set aside.

    Mix cake mixture, oleo and 3/4 cup milk well.

    Bake 1/2 of cake mixture for 15 minutes in a 350° oven.

    Take 1/2 cake from the oven.

    Spread caramels, chips and pecans on top.

    Pour remaining batter on top and bake for 15 to 25 minutes.

    Cool and cut into squares.
