- 16 oz. pkg. caramels
- 1/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. nuts, chopped (walnuts or pecans)
- 1 small pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt caramels and 1/4 cup evaporated milk.

2Keep warm.

3Mix cake mix, butter and 3/4 cup evaporated milk.

4Place a little less than half the cake mixture in a greased 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.

5Pour melted caramels over cake and sprinkle nuts and chips on top.

6Spread other half of cake mixture over the top and bake for 15 minutes.
