- 1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
- 3/4 c. oleo
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 Pillsbury Plus German chocolate cake mix, prepared as directed
- 1 c. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Melt first 3 ingredients and put aside.

2Pour half of cake batter into cake pan and bake 15 minutes.

3Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over top.

4Sprinkle with chips and nuts. Pour remaining batter over top and return to oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

5Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes before serving.

6Can use two 9 x 9-inch pans and put one in freezer.

7Can use ice cream or whipped topping.
