- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- dash of salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Stir sugar into corn syrup, water and salt, until dissolved. Boil to medium-ball stage (240°).

2Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour 1/3 of syrup over egg whites.

3Beating constantly, cook remaining syrup to very hard ball stage (265°).

4Beat syrup into candy mixture.

5Continue beating until stiff.

6Cool 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7When mixture holds its shape when dropped from a spoon, add vanilla.

8Drop from teaspoon onto buttered cookie sheet.

9Makes 4 dozen pieces.
