  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped (about 1 c.)
  • 2 large onions (about 2 c.)
  • 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 1/2 c. Campbell's tomato juice
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 oz.) can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained

    In a 6-quart kettle or Dutch oven, over medium-high heat, cook beef, green pepper and onion with chili powder and pepper, until beef is browned and vegetables are tender, stirring to separate meat.
